Cody and Kaitlin met me at Biloxi’s Old Brick House for their engagement session, at sunset. Things could not have been more perfect! They came prepared to have a good time, and most importantly, to just be themselves. (This always works, trust me!)
Let me be transparent. I totally stalked these two on social media after our engagement session because of how much fun I had with them. Things I learned: Cody and Kaitlin have been together for a very long time, Cody is hilarious and has an interesting nickname, and Kaitlin can sang. Yes, you read that right. This girl can SANG, yall. I mean, goodness gracious! Engrossed in my expert creeping skill, I played a video of her singing from her Facebook page. My husband, sitting behind me, said, “Who IS that?!” Okay, so you get the point. I digress.
This session was three things: entertaining, comfortable, and successful. The lighting was warm, the colors were cohesive, and the energy between the two was perfection. Every photographer dreams of being able to capture a couple, as comfortable as Cody and Kaitlin were with each other. The way they held each other was like two puzzle pieces interlocking seamlessly. The years that produced this level of comfort between the two not only made me thrilled to be behind the camera, but it was evident in their gallery. I am currently swooning over their wedding that hasn’t even happened yet! I neeeeeed Octoberrrrr.
I could go on, but I feel like I have said enough. I want to let these images do the talking now. These two are so completely in love. If you love old oaks covered in moss, sunset, and boats on the back bay, you’ll enjoy this engagement session at Biloxi’s Old Brick House!
